This fully renovated farmhouse and separate barn are located on a 3/4 acre property in the hamlet of La Becone, which belongs
to the hilltop village of Queyssac-les-Vignes. The house faces south toward the beautiful Dordogne River, surrounded by meadows,
farms, vineyards and other small hamlets. Shopping and restaurants are available in Betaille and Vayrac, each about 2 miles
away, and in Bretenoux, Beauliew-sur-Dordogne, and Martel, each approximately six miles distant.
Guests can easily visit the lovely villages of Collonges-la-Rouge, Carennac, Loubressac and St. Cere, as well as the area's
jewel, the pilgrimage site of Rocamadour and the stunning Gouffre de Padirac, all less than a half hour's drive from La Noisette.
Sarlat, La Rocque-Gageac, Beynac and Castelnau, Domme and Lascaux, all further down the Dordogne, are easily accessible as
well. The area is known for its chateaux, museums, dance and music festivals, Romanesque churches, medieval towns, open markets
and prehistoric sites. Fishing, canoeing and kayaking, horseback riding, tennis and hunting are available in season.
Gastronomic specialities of the region are foie gras, truffles, walnuts, cassoulet, cabecou cheese and confit de canard.
Local wines include a delightful red, Mille et Une Pierres, from the vineyard at nearby Branceilles and the rare Vin Paille,
a sweet white.
